With a 38-year career in public education, Steve Savoy has dedicated his life to empowering students, teachers, and school leaders to achieve excellence. Starting as a classroom teacher for 11 years, he went on to serve as an assistant principal for 3 years, a principal for 9 years, and spent 15 years in district leadership roles.
As a principal, Steve led two distinctly different schools to remarkable success, consistently improving student academic growth scores. One of these schools earned the prestigious AZ A+ designation, a testament to his commitment to fostering high standards and positive outcomes.
In district leadership, Steve discovered a passion for coaching and mentoring school administration teams. His focus was not only on academic achievement but also on building inclusive, supportive school cultures that celebrated diverse student backgrounds.
